My family taught me the value of education and the importance of service to others.

As your State Senator, I will work hard to ensure everyone in our rural community can achieve the American Dream.

My grandparents immigrated to Arizona with no more than sixth-grade educations, but they worked hard to give my mom, and me, the opportunity to graduate from college.

Growing up in Yuma, I’ve seen first-hand the barriers that stop working families from achieving their dreams: not enough affordable housing, wages that don’t keep up with rising gas and food prices, chronically-underfunded teachers and schools, and no local access to the education our children need to succeed.

That’s why I am running to represent my home district in Arizona’s State Senate—to bring solutions that will give everyone in my community a chance to reach for the American Dream.

I know a strong Arizona economy starts with thriving families and rural communities. Together, we can protect our water, strengthen our public schools, and put our ranchers, farmers, local businesses, and working families first.

    Pay public schools teachers and support staff competitive, living wages.

    Increase funding for vocational training and rural community colleges.

    Train our students for 21st century careers and keep Arizona’s economy growing strong through innovative, public-private partnerships with our local universities.

  • Water and Infrastructure

    Invest in safe, reliable roads and bridges to meet the needs of our farmers, ranchers, local businesses and families.

    Ensure Arizonans have a 100-year water plan by finding new sources and leveraging smart water conservation and recycling solutions.

    Bring broadband and cellular service to underserved rural communities.

  • The Economy

    Lower the cost of housing by preventing out-of-state investment firms from taking thousands of properties off the market, so families can afford to buy their own homes.

    Offer gasoline rebates to working families to combat price gouging at the fuel pump and provide drivers with lower cost, cleaner fuel options in the future.
